Photography Classes:

Buttons 101 ($35)

This class covers the very basics of your camera
Areas that will be covered:

  • Camera Buttons
  • Basic Shooting Modes
  • Camera Menus

Photo 101 ($35)

This class is designed to give you knowledge to start controlling the settings of your camera to create the images you want to capture. 

Some areas that will be covered:

  • Aperture Priority
  • Shutter Priority
  • Depth of Field 
  • Focal Lengths
  • and more!

Intermediate ($35)

This class is aimed at broadening your understanding of the camera, and shooting in more difficult environments.
Some areas that will be covered:

  • Manual mode
  • Exposure & metering
  • Stops in an exposure
  • File Types (RAW vs. JPEG)


Editing Classes:

(customized to your knowledge - take the class as many times as you need for new skills!)

Photoshop or Photoshop Elements ($50)

We use Photoshop CS5 or Photoshop Elements 12 for this class.
Topics in this class include:

  • Introduction to Layers
  • Image Sizing
  • Cropping
  • Color Correction
  • Red Eye Removal
  • Adding Text to a Photo
  • Brightness/contrast/level adjusting
  • Turning a photo Black and White/ Sepia/Retro


Lightroom ($50)

This class covers basic workflow, Library and Develop Modules, and Exporting. We use Lightroom 4 for this class.
Topics in this class include:

  • Importing into the catalog
  • Library Module
  • Develop Module
  • Exporting
  • Adjustment brush
  • Watermarks
  • Presets


Specialty Classes:

Intro to Lighting ($35)

Topics in this class include:

  • Setting up strobes
  • reflectors 
  • flash/strobe vs constant light
  • hands on lighting setup & walk through

Nature Photography ($35)

Topics in this class include:

  • Shooting guide for waterfalls, flowers, landscapes etc
  • Panoramic/Photo Stitch
  • Spotting scopes as lenses (digi-scoping)
  • Tripods & Monopods
  • Panning/Tracking methods
